Florida's Largest University Recognizes Voiceover Talent Caryn Clark as Outstanding Young Alumna

University of Florida Alumni Association and the College of Liberal Arts and Sciences recognizes Caryn Clark as a “2009 Outstanding Young Alumna”

Fort Myers, FL, July 6, 2009 – Each year, the University of Florida Alumni Association (UFAA) and the University’s sixteen colleges select alumni to recognize as Outstanding Young Alumni. Recipients are selected by the Dean of their respective colleges. The UFAA established this award to recognize Gators who have distinguished themselves in business, community or service, and are age 40 or younger.

University of Florida President Bernie Machen, UFAA President-elect Jeff Jonasen, UFAA Executive Director Lee Patouillet, and College of Liberal Arts and Sciences Dean, Dr. Paul D’Anieri, were in attendance at the Award Ceremony and addressed the Young Alumni group.

Caryn Clark, known as “The Hip Chick Voice” and a professional voice over actress in Fort Myers, Florida, was honored with this award alongside fellow College of Liberal Arts and Sciences graduate, Congressman Tom Rooney. Caryn’s work includes network television commercials for the Rooms To Go Disney furniture line, the voice of Hasbro/Milton Bradley’s “The Littlest Pet Shop Mall Madness” electronic board game sold in Wal-Mart and Toys “R” Us stores, television commercials on The Disney Channel for Hannah Montana products, and many other credits. Clark earned her Bachelor of Arts in English from the University of Florida in 1994.

Caryn is also very active in her community of Fort Myers, Florida as a member of the Junior League of Fort Myers, in the past serving on their Board of Directors as their Membership Vice President, Treasurer, and Finance Vice President. She is currently active with the Southwest Florida Gator Club, and the University of Florida Alumni Association as a member of their national Board of Directors and a Regional Vice President.
